So first off I have to say that I have a love/hate relationship with vacations. I get so excited as I am counting down the days until it gets here and I am thrilled the day we finally get to leave home...but then it ends! UGH! There is nothing worse than looking forward to a vacation and then once it gets here it speeds by so fast. But I have to say that it is nice to come home, especially when I don't have to leave my other half anymore.
Lets start on day one of the vacation. We left our apartment early on Friday the 13th and we were Vegas bound. Andrew and I decided that we wanted to leave before anyone else because we wanted as long of a vacation as we could get. We left the house at about 7am and had to drive to St. George to deal with a little issue that Andrew had from not paying a ticket. So we got there and had to sit in a courtroom for about an hour and a half waiting to see if they would reduce the fine from his stupid ticket. Well I can tell you that it was a complete waste of time and we still had to pay the whole fine...but it was ok cause listening to everyone else plead their cases was kind of interesting. Anyway. After that we continued our journey to Las Vegas. Now I have to say that I have never been a huge fan of the Vegas but being there with my hubs and actually staying in a decent hotel that had a real nice pool was actually a lot of fun. We spent the first few hours we were there just laying by the pool and relaxing. Then we decided to get ready and hit the town. We went and ate dinner at a buffet of course and awaited the arrival of Clayton and Whitney. When the four of us we together we decided to go and gamble a little bit...well I hate gambling and I am NOT good at it at all. My brother gave me like thirty bucks to play blackjack with and it was gone in about five minutes. (sorry about that Clay) But I did find one type of gambling that I liked-the penny slots. haha I won five bucks on one of those machines and I felt pretty good about it. We the decided to go back to our hotel and get some shut eye, we stayed at the Rio which actually was a nice hotel in my opinion.
Saturday: Saturday morning we all got up and went and layed by the pool again, the weather was so amazing it was about 90 degrees and I was loving it. After we did that for awhile we decided to go and eat some lunch so we ate another buffet. (Don't judge, we were in the buffet capital of the world.) Then we played around a little more before we hit the next leg of our vacation. We drove to San Fernando to stay the night because we were going to Six Flags the next day. Our hotel was a little creepy and we were happy to get out of there bright and early.
Sunday: This day was a blast! We went and spent the whole day at Six Flags and rode rollercoasters all day. I had never been there and it was so much fun. Some of those rollercoasters were pretty intense but I loved it and was so glad we went. We stayed there until about seven o'clock and then we headed out to our final destination...Disneyland!
I guess I don't have to break the rest of the trip up into days because we mostly did the same thing for the rest of the trip with a few added things here and there. We spent four days in Disneyland and it was a lot of fun. We met up with the rest of our family in Anaheim which included, my parents, and my brother Keith and his family. I was so excited to spend time in Disneyland with my little Tessy and June Bug, they were what made the trip so fun because they loved every second of it there. We also spent some time a the beach and in LA. We had such a fun vacation and were not excited to come home even though we were gone for over a week. Now it's back to work...boo! I loved being able to spend every second with my sweet husband and now we don't get to see each other all day. But that's ok because summer is slowly creeping in and I am so happy about that!!
i am very jealous of your amazing trip, you and andrew look so great. love you!
